An architectural marvel designed by the late Zaha Hadid. This 3 year project was completed in 2017 and houses 39 unique units ranging from $4,495,000 to $48,975,000. The cost per square foot equates to roughly $2,600.
The building’s elegant hand-crafted metal facade is driven by one continuous line, which loops its way skywards. These dynamic curves create a distinctive chevron pattern that embraces interlacing levels, maximizing privacy and security between residences. As the chevron weaves up from the ground, its folds create a multi-level design that links residence exteriors and interiors together in one sweeping movement.
Duraframe was brought on board to aid in the construction of 520 West 28th due to our specialized prefabrication solutions. More specifically, our proprietary Curv Trak steel framing system was used to make the radiused balconies and curved architecture that can be seen both inside and outside the building.
